Envelop yourself in the enchanting atmosphere of the Saint-Germain-des-Pres of yesteryear. This lovely hotel's interior decor - framed within walls that date back to the 16th century - is an harmonious blend of styles, balanced between the Middle Ages and the romantic Regency Period. Peaceful nights are assured in each of the hotel's unique and lovely guestrooms, whose highlights include Sicilian-style twin beds girded by decoration metal frames, and antique four poster beds. Amenities include, air-conditioning, sound-proofed windows and mini-bar. The public areas include a delightful lounge wherein wing chairs and pedestal tables sit side by side with a church pew. Cherubs and alabaster statues reside in the flower-filled inner courtyard. Service at the hotel definitely comes with a smile. Parking facilities nearby.
In this ideally located 16th-century building, all the styles have been happily mingled with the Louis-Philippe winged chairs and pedestal tables of the tiny lounge alongside a church pew, a few Oriental carpets, flowered English carpeting and so on. If you add in a telephone box that seems to have come directly from Trafalgar Square in London, some splendid old stained glass pieces delicately lightened, then you create a particularly warm atmosphere quite able to make you overlook the smallness of the place and some of the rooms. With these, originality has also been shown and there is not one that resembles another. Some are haute-époque with a canopied bed, others are romantic style with a copper bedstead or twinned Sicilian beds of painted wrought iron with mother-of-pearl effects. Yet others offer integrated painted and polished furniture in the old style. All have a small corner area for writing or just relaxation. This is an astonishing place with the decor applied so that you forget you are even in a hotel.
