DUMINY VENDOME

Located in the first "arrondissement "(district) the Duminy Vendome is truly in the heart of the city. Surrounded by Museums, Historical sights, fantastic shops and great restaurants the Duminy is the ideal hotels for that first visit to Paris or those who want to be within walking distance to all the major sights. The Duminy Vendome was built during the 19th century in the garden of a covent closed in 1790. Its said that LaFayette held meetings in the Convent to prepare the French Revolution! A stone's throw from the Louvre Museum, rue de Rivoli, Place Vendome, Place de Concorde and the Champs Elysees. Just around the corner from the rue Saint Honore with its Designer stores and bustling Bistros and cafes. A metro station is a 2 minute walk and is on the Line 1 which takes you through the heart of the city. Easy access to all of Paris including all major railway stations and Charles de Gaulle and Orly Airport. The hotel was completely renovated in 1997 and offers 78 rooms of a very high standard, sound proofed with air conditioning, cable TV, private safe and mini bar. Whilst renovating the hotel the builders discovered medieval wine cellars under the hotel and these were renovated to become the beautiful breakfast room decrated in the typical "Provencal" style.
