The InterContinental Le Grand Hotel Paris has now re-opened its doors for business, following a 15 month closure for a multi-million dollar refurbishment and renovation project. Opened in 1862 by Napoleon III, the hotel's famous Café de la Paix has hosted the literary and artistic elite of Paris for over 100 years. Ostensibly art deco in style, guests are treated to five-star luxury in recently remodelled rooms and suites. The ‘pièce de résistance', however, is the Salon Opéra, the hotel's grandest function venue with ornate gold leaf mouldings, stained-glass windows and a stunning domed ceiling. Accommodation All the new bedrooms have been transformed into classical and luxurious accommodation but are also well equipped with all the latest technology for the business executive working away from the office.
